Roy B Kelly fourth grade students learned about the Native American creation story in Ms. Korchowsky's art classes. They learned the significance of the turtle in the Iroquois tribes as well as other tribes throughout North America. After looking at representations of the turtle in Native American art, they modeled their own turtle sculptures with clay. They then created a radially balanced design on it's shell using lines shapes and colors.
