On behalf of the Communications Department, I wanted to share a couple of exciting and important communication updates.
First, we have upgraded our website!
Our URL will remain the same: lockportschools.org. While we will officially launch the website later this summer, you can still access important information, links, and documents. Be aware that we may continue to move items around in order to enhance your experience on our website.
Second, we have a new mobile app!
To access our new app, you will have to redownload it using your device's app store. You can search for "Lockport City School District" or "Lockport Schools NY" and download the app with the white background and the yellow "L." Please note, we are still finalizing links so your experience on the app may change over the next few weeks. You can view how to find the app on our Facebook page.
Third, ROOMS is on the way!
If you haven't had a chance to train in our new two-way communication app, don't worry! We will have trainings available over the summer and when you arrive in September. This is an excellent tool (similar to Class Dojo and Remind), which allows you to speak directly with parents of your class (or classes). You can send messages in a broadcasting manner (you communicate an announcement and do not require a reply) or in a private, two-way secure message between you and a guardian concerning a student.
