Creating your family communication plan starts with one simple question: What if? Learn what to do if you are not with your family or cannot reach them during an emergency situation. Experts from Niagara University Border Community Service will also discuss what to have on hand in your home and vehicle and what to have in preparation for an emergency situation or extreme conditions.

Due to winter weather conditions, all schools in the Lockport City School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 for staff and students. This includes the cancellation of all after-school activities, sports, and events.

Students in the STEM Club channeled their creativity and engineering skills to design their very own festive maizes! 🛠️ From problem-solving to hands-on building, these future innovators combined learning with holiday cheer.

At Emmet Belknap, Miss Bridger's class project was on important achievements of the Indus Valley and Mesopotamia River Valley societies. Students spent time researching then creating diagrams. Projects ranged from physical diagrams to virtual blueprints modeling the achievements.

The 9th annual Emmet Belknap 2K Turkey Trot took place prior to Thanksgiving Break. About 120 students participated in the run this year! Congratulations to this year's winners: 5th Grade - Paityn Q., Julian S. & 6th Grade Reagan Z., & Connor H.

Bullying and Promoting Wellness for Students with Disabilities

Location: Family Empowerment Center, 1st floor of the Cornerstone Ice Arena (offered Virtually on Zoom).
In this VIRTUAL workshop, parents, caregivers, or educators of children with disabilities learn to recognize the signs of a bullying situation and how to talk to a child. Learn about the supports and services that can be built into the Individualized Education Program (IEP) to promote social growth and well-being.

This just added to Literacy Night: Touch a Truck by the City of Lockport Fire Department. They are bringing two fire trucks and an ambulance to LCSD's Literacy Night.
Join us tomorrow, Thursday, November 21! Get ready for an evening filled with fun activities, celebrity storytime, games, parent support, a book exchange, community organizations, and of course pizza!
