Dear Aaron Mossell Junior High School Parents and/or Legal Guardians,
Late this afternoon, after school dismissal, the district was made aware of a threat made by a student. Upon receiving this information, we immediately began an investigation in collaboration with local authorities. After a thorough review, the authorities have determined that the threat is non-credible.
Please be assured that the district takes every threat seriously. We investigate all concerns rigorously, using our district’s Code of Conduct as a guide. We encourage parents to speak with their children about the importance of refraining from making any form of verbal threat, as all such threats will be thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Lockport Police Department for their swift response and continued support. Their partnership is invaluable and deeply appreciated.
If parents or legal guardians have any questions or concerns, they are encouraged to contact Principal Dr. Kathleen Bailey directly. Additionally, please note that, per district protocol, there will be an increased police presence at the school on Tuesday morning.
