Dear Lockport City School District Learning Community,
I am writing to inform you about an incident that occurred late this afternoon at Aaron Mossell Junior High School, where a student was reported to have made an alleged verbal threat.
In response, the district, in collaboration with local law enforcement, immediately conducted a thorough investigation. After careful review, the police determined that the threat was not credible.
Please know that we take all threats seriously, regardless of their nature or intent. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are always our top priority, and we remain committed to investigating any potential threats fully and adhering to our code of conduct.
We would like to thank the Lockport City Police Department for their quick response and continued partnership. Per district protocol, School Resource Officers will be present during arrival and dismissal at Aaron Mossell on Monday morning.
