Dear Lockport City School District Community,
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of our cherished staff members, Mrs. Kristine Adams. Kristine was a devoted and valued member of our district for many years, having served at Anna Merritt Elementary School and most recently in the Human Resources Department.
Kristine was widely known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those around her. Her warm presence and generous spirit touched the lives of many in our school community, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with her.
In response to this loss, the district's crisis team is providing counseling services for students, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to support staff. Employees who wish to access EAP services can contact Child and Family Services at 716-681-4300 or ceap@cfsbny.org. Additionally, staff members seeking further assistance may reach out to their principal, director, or our Deputy Superintendent, Lisa Schrader.
In the coming days, we will share funeral arrangements once they are available to district officials. We will ensure this information is communicated to our community as soon as we receive the details.
Kristine's memory will live on in the hearts of her colleagues, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing her. Her contributions to our district were immeasurable, and her absence leaves a profound void.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate this difficult time together.
Sincerely,
Mathis Calvin III, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
