Women Who ROAR

In celebration of Women's History Month, the Lockport City School District will honor outstanding women through the "Women Who ROAR" awards. This recognition stands for “Recognizing Outstanding Achievements and Resilience.” It honors remarkable women from the community as well as young ladies from Lockport schools who have made significant contributions to their learning environment.

The women who have been selected from the WNY community have demonstrated exceptional achievements in their respective fields such as STEM, healthcare, community engagement, the arts, and social-emotional wellbeing. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their work environments. Moreover, these women have strong connections to the district, whether as alumni of Lockport High School, parents of current students, or dedicated volunteers and advocates within Lockport schools.

The Lockport City School District is pleased to announce this year’s Women Who ROAR recipients:

  • Keah Brown, American disability rights activist, author, journalist, and writer
