A Lasting Lockport Legacy

A lasting legacy is all about the actions you take during your life and the way those actions affect how people remember you.

Each year, individual members of the graduating class will be given the opportunity to join the Lockport High School Legacy Society.

  • This process allows you to take initiative and promote yourself, which is a life skill that will become imperative during your post-secondary journey.

  • This opportunity highlights your skill sets, leadership, and sense of identity.

  • This membership is a respectful addition to a resume or a job application.

  • When you are given the opportunity to better yourself or be a part of a long list of elite individuals, you should take it!!!

  • YOUR time at LHS has been about building YOUR life vision and legacy and it is now time to leave YOUR legacy for others to look up to and follow.

Timeline for Membership

In late Fall, Mrs. Wylke will meet with seniors to describe the opportunity.

Students will then need to confirm their eligibility based on their ABC's, i.e. attendance, behavior record, and credits or academic standing.

Students will be required to complete a 1-page information sheet that includes references and a personal statement about what Legacy means to them.

Eligible students will then be invited to an interview meeting with members of the LHS staff and administration to discuss the Legacy project.
